Why call on The Shrub
Guy™?
First I bring to the table over 40 years of on the job training,
experience, technique, and understanding to the age old art of fashioned
hand pruning with all commercial tools, so I know the right way to prune.
(Of course, I do use gas
powered equipment also, but
only when
I have to on certain types of plant or shrub material.)
I started in 1967, in the field of horticulture and floriculture. Graduated
from Essex Agriculture and Technical Institute—class of 1971. Held a
supervisors spraying license for 12 years in the state of MA (#187) and
held
a F1 and F3 pesticide license from the state of NH. I only use organic,
which is much safer when needed or requested when planting.
In all that time, I learned a lot and know a lot, but it's never
enough.
Even though I have many certifications in horticulture, am a certified
nursery specialist since 2006, I'm still now taking online courses in
plant sciences
and history
of origin.
I will study this field forever-because I Love it! And my customers deserve
it. Knowledge is power, but safety is #1
When I opened The Shrub Guy™ for business,
a friend of mine asked why someone should put me to work. I gave him a short
list that day, but I had
more time since then, so below is an expanded list of reasons to call The
